Family PACT is California's innovative approach to provide comprehensive family planning services to eligible low-income men and women. This clinical program increases access to services by expanding the provider network to include medical providers, pharmacies and laboratories.

Update: Status of Family PACT Waiver
The Family PACT Medicaid Demonstration Project Section 1115 Waiver has been extended by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) through October 16, 2008. During this extension period, existing benefits will continue to be reimbursed with no changes to current services or policies except those published in the Medi-Cal Update bulletin.
All providers should continue to serve clients as usual, according to the Program requirements as specified in the Family PACT Policies, Procedures and Billing Instructions (PPBI) manual.
The status of the Waiver renewal is being negotiated between CMS and the California Department of Health Services, with a final determination expected prior to October 16, 2008. Updates will be posted to this web page when available.
Clarification and instructions pertaining to implementation of the U.S. citizenship documentation requirements of the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) will be distributed to providers and posted on this website as soon as available.
